When corporations are enjoying near-record profits, we would expect corporations to pay the higher wages out of their profits rather than to pass them on to consumers in higher prices.

Please, someone tell the former Secretary of Labor how capitalism works.

While it would be ideal if corporations paid higher wages out of profits; the structure of capitalism - make as much money as possible - doesn’t reward that.
