Today was a lazy Saturday spent doing laundry and wasting time watching TV.
Finished reading: The Last Graduate: A Novel (The Scholomance Book 2) by Naomi Novik 📚
Witty and funny, a likeable main character who realizes that she is likeable while trying to be unlikeable is a neat storyline for a YA magic school.

Great story. Something familiar but slightly different. Good chararcters. If you like YA and magic, I would reccommend giving this a read/listen.

On Bias in Journalism
Expecting Journalism to be without bias is like expecting water to be without oxygen.
News - that is to say, the report that this event happened, should be without bias.
Analysis - that is to say, the report on how this event happened, or what this event means for the future or the past, cannot be without bias.
Journalists should strive to analyze news without bias, but when looking at a News event, and wondering what the ramifications are, or will be, and how that news event actually happened, or can to be possible, it should be apparent that a person’s bias will reflect on that analysis.
This headline from Vox, Democratic optimism about the midterms is fading, is wild.
It’s almost like the ‘media’ does not read anything the ‘media’ writes.
The beginning of 2022: Republicans win midterms and flip Congress.
The summer of 2022: Democrats win midterms and increase control.
Now: After weeks of reporting Democrats peaked early, a story about fading optimism.
This is fantastic. Simply fantastic.

Aand the Padres knock off the Dodgers to advance to the NLCS.
Their first appearance in the NLCS since 1998.
Too bad the Mariners fell to the Astros and the Astros advanced to the ALDS.
